Gig’s a plenty at the moment! We had a great time last Saturday at the Stanton Village Club in the beautiful rolling Cottswolds countryside. Thanks to events manager Robin and “Light Tech” Tony for making it a really enjoyable gig.
After getting back at 3am another great gig followed on Sunday at The Full Moon pub, Little Kingshill. Although “Good Day Sunshine” was punctuated by the odd downpour, attendance was excellent and food wonderful. Thanks to our hosts Bran and Petra for yet another great beer festival!
Next Sunday 6th July we will take part at special event “Printwhistle’s All Live Picnic Party”, Eskdale Road Playing Fields, Stoke Mandeville HP22 5UJ, featuring Alvin & the Trilogy Band, The Dung Beatles, Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes (West Sussex Premier Pop Covers Band) and Hope & Glory who recreate the best of Madness. We played at The Cavern…!!! Words will never do it justice, what more can be said…???
Thanks to Nigel McIntyre for organising a brilliant show, featuring his young stars “Spiral Vanilla”, and their excellent guest bands “Indigo Sky”, “AKA” and “The Portalights”, in The Cavern Live Lounge on Sunday 8th June. Also thanks to our wives for supporting, and British Beatles Fan Club dignitaries Terry Bloxham (membership secretary) and Ernie Sutton (Treasurer) for coming all the way up to Liverpool from down South especially to see us.
See photos and videos on our “Gallery” and “Music” pages.

What better way to prepare for a gig at Liverpool’s famous “Cavern” club than to have played last Saturday at the wonderful “Court Theatre”, Tring. Thanks to the amazing organisational skills of one Mr Rob Schafer (and playing in BOTH bands!) the place was packed and a great time was had by all. If you get the chance please come and see us at “The Cavern” on 8th June, in The Live Lounge, part of an afternoon festival running from 2pm till 6pm, supporting the fast rising young band “Spiral Vanilla”, who are launching their first album “bulletproof dreams”. Also featuring indie bands “Indigo Sky” and “AKA”.
We are counting down the days in anticipation of performing at this excellent venue, supporting our good mates SkaSouls UK with their exciting blend of Ska and two-tone repertoire! There will be something here to please everyone, whether you prefer to just listen or dance the night away (some seating, but also plenty of dance floor space available!!!). Tickets are selling fast so best to book in advance – see following link for more details https://www.courttheatre.co.uk/moreinfo.php?event=CTL14006
We had a really great time playing at The Turk’s Head pub, Twickenham last night, rocking away in celebration of “A Hard Day’s Night” 50th anniversary, along with many other excellent bands. Thanks to our host Dan from the Apple Core Beatles for organising the event – judging from the enthusiastic turn out it was a major success!
May is yet another busy month for us, with gigs at The Lion, Waddesdon on 4th May, Stone Football & Social club on 11th May, and finally an appearance at The Court Theatre, Pendley, Tring, supporting the amazing SkaSouls UK, on 24th May, which is likely to be sold out before the event, so best to book early – see our “Gig Dates” page for more details.
We are really excited and looking forward very much to performing at this historic event, celebrating fifty years since the album “A Hard Days Night” was released, at The Turks Head pub Twickenham (scene from the film of Ringo’s walk), and joining forces with other great tribute acts. Knowing how much time and effort is involved we would like to say a special “thank you” to Dan from “The Apple Core Beatles”, “Beatles Day” and “The British Beatles Fan Club”. The day’s celebrations kick off at 11am and run right the way through till 11pm. Please come and support and enjoy a whole day of great music, activities, entertainment and special guests. The Dung Beatles will start around 8pm. http://www.theapplecorebeatles.com/livefestival.htmat
